Reportage Artist

On a very human scale reportage photography finds the extraordinary in the ordinary. An eloquence in the everyday and a visual poignancy in the pushed aside. On a larger stage the reportage photographer can be the observer and reporter, sometimes in outrage, sometimes in homage to the mighty forces shaping world history. The reportage artist respects those realities both universal and personal as a witness and brings in addition a visual language, an understanding, an interpretation and the aesthetic that renders images as a creative non-fiction.
